Human race use wide range of materials in their daily use. The metallurgical enhancements in 14^th century made a way for processing the bronze, iron and steel. Fermentation and extractions were the simple chemical reactions or tasks done by early alchemists.

In the late 16^th century the chemistry emerged as a separate concept and by the early 18^th century chemistry made a numerous advancements in medicine and many other fields. The chemical engineering and material engineering were born due to industrial revolution in the 19^th century.

The material engineers study the structure and properties of metal in range of products. The products may include computer chips, bio medical devices, aircraft wings etc., Chemical engineers convert the chemicals or some chemical material into useful products. They also works on making food products.
